General questions

Do you sell to private individuals?

Currently, Aguardio only sells to business customers – sensors can be purchased directly from Aguardio or via our trusted network of distributors. Sale to private individuals is something Aguardio hopes to make possible in the future. If you wish to be added to the waiting list, please send us your request along with your name and e-mail address to hello@aguardio.com.

Where can I buy Aguardio sensors?

As a business owner or representative, you can purchase our sensors through our network of distributors: click on this link https://aguardio.com/ and scroll down to find “Selected distributors” listed by country). In Denmark, you can purchase our Pipe (Leak) Sensor from Brødrene Dahl stores (please note – only the variant with sound alert and no data connection). If there is no distributor in your region, please send us an email at hello@aguardio.com.

How do I order your products and how much does it cost to ship them?

You can order our products by emailing us at hello@aguardio.com. Shipping costs vary based on the volume and destination of your order. We will provide specific shipping details once you contact us with more information at the email address mentioned above.

Do Aguardio sensors need access to Wi-Fi?

No, data from the sensors is collected via Aguardio’s APP using Bluetooth connection. However, Internet access or mobile connectivity is needed for the APP to operate optimally.

How do sensors transmit data?

Data is transmitted via Bluetooth connection using Aguardio’s APP or other Bluetooth interfaces (E.G. a gateway). The App is available on Google Play and App Store via the following links.

FAQ about Aguardio Shower Sensor

What does the Shower Sensor cost? Is data included in the price?

The Shower Sensor has a retail price of approx. 130 EUR with 3 years of data subscription included. Bulk discounts apply. Please contact us at hello@aguardio.com for a more detailed price information.

How does the Shower Sensor work?

Shower Sensor measures shower duration, water running time, using its four sensors: movement, acoustic, room temperature and humidity.

Where can I find technical data on the Shower Sensor?

How I can find the Shower Sensor's MAC adress?

The sensor’s MAC address is located on the back of the product box. If you don’t have the box, you can find it by following these steps: download a QR reader app, remove the Shower Sensor from its bracket, and scan the QR code on the sensor’s display. Ensure that the Shower Sensor is synchronized with the Aguardio app before removing it from the back plate to prevent data loss.

Is there a camera on the Shower Sensor?

There is no camera in the Shower Sensor.

My Shower Sensor is not working, where can I get support?

How do I clean the Shower Sensor?

Gently wipe the sensor when necessary, using all – purpose cleaner and water. Limescale build-up on the front of the white plastic frame can interfere with the sensor’s ability to detect showers.

How do I change my Shower Sensor's battery?

Changing the battery is simple. Just follow this video guide: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/EVgnIaO8JHE. You will need a T8 screwdriver.

What does the Pipe (Leak) Sensor cost? Is data included in the price?

The Leak Sensor has a retail price of approx. 80 EUR with 3 years of data subscription included. Bulk discounts apply. Please contact us at hello@aguardio.com for a more detailed price information.

How tight does the plastic tie around the water pipe and Pipe Sensor have to be?

The sensor does not have to be tied too tightly to the pipe, it only needs to be secure enough to ensure that the sensor’s grey thermal pad is touching the pipe surface. Can I inactivate a Pipe (Leak) Sensor?

No, once the Pipe Sensor is activated, it is permanently activated. It can, however, be re-located to another location if needed. Please contact support@aguardio.com if you need assistance or have more questions.

What is the purpose of the side button on the Pipe (Leak) Sensor?

The Pipe Sensor’s side button has two functions – it activates the Sensor and it resets the Sensor depending on how long you press the side button. When you press and hold the side button for about 10 seconds, it restarts and activates the Sensor. Stand-alone sensors and sensors connectable to the app, will beep when this is done. Do you get an alarm/alert when there is a leak notified?

The Pipe Sensor will only beep if you have the stand-alone version with no data connection. If you have a connected version, information on leaks is available via Aguardio HUB platform. 

What is the best place/surface to install the Pipe (Leak) Sensor on?

Heat conductive material metal (e.g. copper or steel pipework).

Do I need to open the Aguardio APP every time I want to collect data from the Sensors?

Yes, you have to open the app every time you want to collect data.

Do I need internet on my device in order to collect data?

Yes, in order to collect data you have to be connected to the internet.

The Pipe Sensor is capable of retaining collected data for a maximum of 14 days. When storage capacity is reached, new data collection is suspended until the storage is cleared. Similarly, the Shower Sensor operates under the same principle, with the exception of offering an extended data retention period of up to 30 days.

Is there a way to collect Aguardios data automatically without the help of the mobile app?

Gateway or other Bluetooth interfaces.

What do the last four digits of each Aguardio Pipe (Leak) Sensor/Shower Sensor mean in the app?

The last four digits are the last digits of Pipe Sensor’s MAC address and it is unique for each sensor. It is helpful when a sensor has to be identified.

What is the difference of the colours red, orange and green in the Aguardio app when collecting data from sensors?

Red: Unable to connect. This may occur if, for example, you have moved away from a sensor that previously had a good connection to the App.

Yellow: Bluetooth connection was established, but data is lost somewhere between the sensor and the cloud.

Green: Upload is successful

What should I do if the Pipe (Leak) Sensor is not visible in the app?

Make sure you are nearby your devices. Ensure that your device has been checked as “Gateway” in the app, and that Bluetooth is switched on. Make sure your  Pipe Sensors have the right software. If the sensors are still not visible, please contact Aguardio Support at support@aguardio.com.

How do I know, data has been successfully collected from sensors?

Android devices: When the data is successfully sent, the app, will show a green dot next to each Leak Sensor and status “OK.”

Apple devices: When the data is successfully sent, the app will show a green dot next to each Leak Sensor and a timestamp indicating the last synchronization of data, referred to as “Last sync.”

How soon can I see collected data in Aguardio HUB?

Data is available immediately after collecting data via Aguardio App.

Can I see data directly on Aguardio's APP?

This feature is not available at the moment. The APP is only used to transmit the data from the sensor to the cloud.

What is the timezone used to display time stamps in Aguardio HUB?

Data in Aguardio HUB is timezone GMT.

How many languages Aguardio HUB support?

At the moment – English and Danish.

Exactly which data is exchanged via network?

For Shower Sensor: start time and end time of showers as well as temperature and humidity measured hourly. For Pipe (Leak)Sensor: flushes & water flow counts as well as ambient & pipe temperature.
